I ran the SDS100 alongside the IC R30 for three hours yesterday in my office. The IC-R30 far outperformed the SDS100 and rarely stopped, opened squelch without good clear voice traffic. On noisy or poor voice traffic some were unintelligible on the SDS100, the IC-R30 still had impressive clear audio.Charge at a constant 700 mA until voltage reaches 4.2V (at which point it will be about 60% charged). 2. Normally, they should last a least a few weeks to a few months if the main battery is dead. If the main battery is dead I've had mine work fine 6mo+ later.
